Circa Sports, a renowned sports wagering operator based in Las Vegas, will take over the business of the Silverton Casino Lodge sports wagering operation at an interim location scheduled to officially open on January 1.
Temporary location:
Circa’s Sportsbook, a 1600-square-foot permanent sportsbook located beside the parking garage of the resort, which will open at the location of the existing Silverton sportsbook, is currently undergoing renovations and is slated to officially open in March 2024.
In addition, with the existing sportsbook officially closed so that renovations may start, Circa Sports will take over operations at an interim location, as mentioned above, beside Shady Grove Bar and Lounge. The interim location will include 2 self-service wagering kiosks, 2 wagering windows and 4 screens showing odds. The biggest games of the day will be accessible to watch in the bar next door.
Just prior to this, during last month, the Nevada Gaming Commission officially validated Circa’s bid to manage a satellite sportsbook at the Silverton. In this regard, in a statement, CEO of Circa Sports, Derek Stevens, commented according to the Las Vegas Review Journal: “As a Vegas-born venture, Circa Sports is thrilled to be working with a beloved local property like Silverton to launch our first southwest Las Vegas book. Silverton has been an excellent partner in bringing this to life and we look forward to introducing an easily accessible and visually stunning sports betting option to a new part of the city.”
At this time, Circa Sports manages 4 satellite sportsbooks located in Southern Nevada.
Layout of the renovated sportsbook:
Once the renovations are complete, the refurbished sportsbook will provide a Daktronics screen for bettors that can be configured to show games from all major sports leagues and other streaming services, a variety of seating options to watch games involving booths and lounge chairs, 3 self-service betting kiosks, 3 wagering windows, twenty-two bar-top games with seating for disabled patrons throughout the space, betting sheet racks and odds boards.
In this regard, in a statement, president of Silverton Casino, Rob Kunkle, said: “We are thrilled for Circa Sports to launch their best-in-class sportsbook at Silverton. The new sportsbook will give our players one more reason to visit and frequent Silverton.”
A designated parking spots in Silverton’s parking garage awaits Circa Sports bettors. Additionally, these spots will be closest to the entrance of the aforementioned sportsbook. Meanwhile, in terms of opening hours, the sportsbook will tentatively be open from 8 AM to 10 PM per day, with possible additional hours during “peak demand“ days.
Beside this newest renovation, Silverton recently underwent refurbishment of the lodge rooms, a project worth $40 million. But that’s not all; because during early period of the next year, Silverton is slated to officially open fresh $10 million courtyard and pool renovation, which involves cabanas and fire pits, poolside dining and sports and movies at the pool.
